Coral do Mar is made entirely with Albariño grape variety from an 18 ha estate in the Tea County, within the Rias Baixas Appellation.
The growing on trellis vines allows the grapes to be fully ventilated and in full sun. The ideal characteristics of granite terrain helps avoid much of the pesticide treatments and provide naturally low acidity musts. This also eliminates any malolactic fermentation of the wine and preserves the delicate varietal aroma and fresh flavours of the Albariño grape.
Grape Varieties: Albarino
Alcohol/VOL: 13.0%
Vintage: 2018
Other: Organic, Vegan, Vegetarian
Tasting Notes:
Intense, fruity aromas and delicate hints of flowers, highlighting the strong character, and an excellent representation of the grape – ideal for both enthusiasts and those discovering Rías Baixas.
Typically Riojan blend of 90% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano – same proportions as Tondeluna but a different use of oak to give more complexity. Aromas of black cherry and dark fruits, toasty notes from the wood and secondary sensations from the malolactic fermentation.
Vallemayor has been the principal Rioja agency in our portfolio for decades. They combine modern technology and traditional knowledge for the elaboration of their wines. American and French oak 225 ltr casks for the ageing are replaced when they’re six years old, assuring the best quality for the wines.
